Deobfuscation Resistance
Once a constant is encrypted, the real value is no longer present in the method body: the IL only carries an index into an encrypted table that is decrypted at runtime. A decompiler therefore shows opaque indexes instead of the original numbers or array contents.
Babel’s Value and Array Encryption is verified against leading open-source .NET deobfuscation tools. Running them against a protected assembly does not recover the encrypted values: the original constants do not appear as literals in the cleaned output, the decryption indirection is left in place, and the encrypted data table remains required. The protection holds.
For the strongest result, combine Value and Array Encryption with the other protection layers — Symbols Renaming, String Encryption, Control Flow Obfuscation and Code Encryption — so that no single layer, if analyzed, exposes the whole picture.
