Answers the update check for one application product: what the latest release is,
whether this caller may install it, why not when it may not, and where to download
it from. The data object is signed with the feed key so the desktop can
verify it was not tampered with in transit.
Parameters

| machineId | query | string | false | An optional machine id, echoed into any issued token. |
